The shining black and white body is an easy way of identidying this specie, even though it appears all black when you see it in the water. It moves with soft low jumps, and can be mistaken for a sealion or seal. It is very like it's southern counterpart, the Southern Rightwhale Dolphin, but it is a bit longer and has a whiter belly. The two species doesn't mix geographicly. Animals with slightly different colors has been sighted near Japan and could be a small subspecie. Northern Rightwhale Dolphins often swims with Risso's Dolphins and other whales.
Behaviour:
This specie is the definition of high speed. It can leap up to 7 meters above the surface. It is easily disturbed. When fleeing the animals gathers in tight groups, with many leaping animals at the same time, whick makes the water "boil". Can bowride, but usually stays away from crafts.
