Blindly, I stumbled.
Fear, an ashen cloud
suffocating my soul.
I reach out, groping
searching, yearning,
for a foothold.
A velvet touch,
against my hand,
and light infuses my being.
A dolphin.
All fear banished,
by a single caress,
and joy rings in my heart.
A second touch,
not physical,
but in my soul I feel.
And all I hear,
In the winter storm,
is the voices calling from the waves.
Saying, crying,
"Spring is near,
Life must always follow."
And I smile,
and I cry,
for I found my saviour.
A dolphin.
